Writer's frustration

As authors, writers, bloggers, or what ever you wish to call yourself; we all know the frustrations of our calling. The art of it can be so tiring that you sometimes just want to give up.We read other peoples works, and we think, "Why can't I do this?" We each spend our time trying to figure out how to make things work.  We aspiring authors are paying others to tell us how they did it. Yet, we seem to not go anywhere. I read make a checklist...set your goals....design your setting/plot. If I could do that I wouldn't be reading those books. I don't know about others, but that's not where my problem lies. I noticed that while writing things continuously change. My characters change, my plots move, my ideas vanish. It's insane how much this happens.

I thought that if I try ST John's Wort to calm myself, I'll be able to get through it. Boy, was I ever wrong. Only thing that stuff did was show me I don't want to take mood blockers. I felt zero emotions after taking that for two weeks. I didn't want to do anything at all. My characters stopped talking to me, which in itself made me worry that I had schizophrenia. (I took the test to be safe....I'm normal....just highly stressed) Life seems to just kick us over and over. So now I am back to trying to figure out how to put my book together. I no longer have my bestie to talk it over with since I moved. My new writing program drives me nuts to use.
Maybe I should just stick to helping others write their stuff. as long as I don't actually have to read it I'm great help....

About Me

My photo
Putting writing on hold for her life adventure, Cherokee was encouraged by a friend on Facebook to start again. She enjoys Fan-fiction writing for herself and others and thought why not give it another try. She rarely watches tv but enjoys her Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters. She just can't get enough of Zak, Aaron and Nick. Ms. Winters writes her stories to music. She is always on the look out for an inspiring song/group. She love writing to Godsmack and Akcent. She claims both groups can get her charries (characters) talking.
